Live Caricature 15/5

..I rarely get the time to stop to take photo's while sketching live...or I forget to pack the camera !...anyway these are the 3 drawings I did manage to take during a store opening gig. I reasonably happy with these as I made an effort to keep each drawing under 4 min

The only time this guy smiled was for this photo...by the way he didn't like the Caricature

VW Rat Van Caricature

Being a fan of the "Rat/Ratter" hotrod... I thought it would be cool to Caricature an old VW Delivery Van ...one of my all time favourite cars to draw.  This was completed in Photoshop over the past couple of weeks...in between paying jobs

Australian Cricket legend Richie Benaud

I've got to admit I was alittle sad when I heard the news that Richie Benaud declared his innings over.... as Captain of the channel 9 commentary team he's been the face of Cricket for the best part of 40 years.

It's known that he hasn't seen an Australian winter in over 35 years so I really wanted to exaggerate the tanned skin tones by giving him an almost bronzed up complextion set agains't the trademark off white blazer and pastel coloured shirt.

I'm not to sure about the background at this stage, I was thinking of maybe adding a wicket backdrop or something....  but one great thing about Digital art is that I can go back to it anytime to adjust or change it

I've seen dozens of Caricatures of Obama, so I'd thought it was about time that I had a go...

Since my boy's been ZZZ.zzz alot more over the past few nights I had a chance to get stuck into this one...Kevin Rudd

Completed using some custom brushes I created in Photoshop,  I went for a more loose Oil Painting look

Ian Thorpe

I feel sorry for the Thorpedo, always having to squash rumours about his sexuality, I wish the media would just leave the legend alone to grow fat in peace.

 Anyway this was done in Photoshop over a couple of late nights with the help of a few Bourbons.  I deliberately used only two of the preset brushes here but for the next one i'll be using some of the custom brushes that I created in Photoshop
