Mr Bean !

This was done as part of some self promo material i'm putting together, hence the white background.

Completed in Photoshop of a scanned sketch, I wanted to try something different by adding some photographic elements, sort of like a Collage effect. Everything is painted in PS except the fabric on Mr Bean's suit and the dart which I photographed from one I had at home.

Online I found a fabric swatch close to Mr Beans and using the cloning tool & such in PS I built up the rest of the suit and layed it over the original sketch.

I'm happy with this effect and I'll continue to play around with it here and there

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas ( Gift Giving Season ) to everyone !!
Here's a WIP that has ground to a halt. A couple of weeks ago the Intuos 4 stopped working, I think the power cord is the cause, something I'll sort out in the comming weeks. I havn't had much luck with these things this year, My Mac blew up and my old Intuos 3 died of alcohol poisoning early in the year when one of my mates spilt beer on it.....maybe it's the digital gods giving me a sign to buy a Cintiq.....I'm not sure...

Acrylic Portrait

Here's a recent Acrylic Painting that was commisioned for a Birthday present. My aim was to keep it loose and more painterly than I normally do. Painted in Acrylic on a canvas block (12 x 16) in about 6 hours
