Here's a recent Acrylic Painting that was commisioned for a Birthday present. My aim was to keep it loose and more painterly than I normally do. Painted in Acrylic on a canvas block (12 x 16) in about 6 hours

Royal Melbourne Show Caricatures

The Melbourne Royal Show in September is the time of the year when get to park my rear end down in one spot for 11 days and draw nothing but Caricatures. Had a great time drawing along side Sydney Cartoonist Josh Spencer and all the people we got to meet & draw.




I was lucky enough to sell a couple of colour ones too



In the mornings to warm up & before we got busy....was the time to goof around and let loose on some of the other stall holders at the show.

Benjamin Pascoe Sketch

Hi all, In Celebration of my pride & joy Benjamin turning 2 this Sunday 25th, I thought I'd share this sketch I made of him late last night. I've always loved taking random photo's of Ben and there was something about the original photo and how it came about that inspired me to sketch it. I remember we were both at home alone and to keep an eye on him I took him and a bag of his favourite toys into in my studio, a place where it usually ends up with Ben tearing up paper, books and anything else he can get his little hands on. I was sitting at my computer desk engrossed in what I was doing and after about 20 miniutes or so I suddenly realised Ben had been unusually quiet and it wasn't until i swung my chair around that I found he had been sitting quietly on another chair watching me the whole time. I reached for the camera and before he had time to move/dispute having a camera in his face, I managed to snap a few pics.

Julia Gillard Caricature

This was a private commissioned and an unusual request... and one that I grasped with both hands. The brief : A Caricature of Julia Gillard as a Goose. Well here she is ..."The Red Emporer" struttin her stuff...enjoy comrades !
